My father, Gérard Festor, early 80s
Olivier Festor is Professor in Computer Science at the Université de Lorraine, former Dean of the Gradute School of Computer Science and Engineering and current Director of Lorraine INP, the collegium of Graduate Schools of Engineering.
He has been an active contributor to the Network and Service Management community for more than 30 years. His research interests are on programmable networks, their configuration, their monitoring and their security. He is co-author of more than 150 international papers for which he received the IEEE COMSOC Dan Strokesberry award in 2019.
Member of Scientific Council of Orange, he was the founder and leader of the first European Network of Excellence in Network Management before contributing to the lead in Research at EIT Digital and multiple international scientific projects.
